职位描述

PURPOSE OF POSITION

1.To book and assist with arrangements for weddings, social events, meetings and site inspections

2.Responsible in achieving Wedding Catering and Banquet sales objectives and revenue goals within areas of responsibility.

3.Finalizing all details relating to catering functions from concept stage until final billing.

4.To ensure delivery of the highest standards of service and coordinates all other details with relevant departments.

5.Communicating all function details by way of event order, maintaining a follow-up system to ensure repeat clients.

6. Maintains and updates sales records manually and electronically as required.

7.Hotel account information should be confidential by sales person

 

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Maintain complete knowledge of:

2.The hotel and the hotel surrounding area situation

3.All hotel features / services, hours of operation

4. Hotel function space, entertainment options, menus and floral decoration options

5.Hotel safety guidelines and evacuation plan

6.Scheduled daily group activities

7.The price, area ,size for wedding catering and meeting venues in hotel

8.Facilities and equipment can provided for wedding catering and meeting by hotel

9.understand and familiar with Chinese or western wedding arrangement and process

10.Promote positive relations with guests and employees

11. Assists the Director of Convention in achieving budgeted revenue and costs

12.To negotiate with clients ensuring that profitability guidelines of the hotel are adhered to ensure guest needs and all requests are met

13.Demonstrates effective and appropriate interaction with guests whilst maintaining a professional approach and image

14.Analyses evaluate and improve your personal performance on a continual basis

15.Carries out other tasks as directed by supervisor

16.Accommodate all guest requests expediently and courteously

17.Acknowledge all customers and handle guest complaints to their satisfaction

18.Answer incoming phone calls in a pleasant manner using Raffles telephone etiquette

19.Handle telephone enquiries according to departmental procedure

20.Review in-house guest list and be familiar with guest 21.Follow-up with in-house guest to ensure on-going service to the guest

22.Develop professional relationships with key players in the designated Market segment to build business

23.Liaise with banquet team to ensure correct set-up of function to meet guests needs

24.Arrange site inspections for potential guests

25.Maintain high level of knowledge of the competition's product

26.Maintain good relationships with counterparts at competing hotels; promote all Raffles Hotels whenever possible

 

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

1.Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

2.Leadership skills and knowledge of all tasks within the area of responsibility.

3.Knowledge and experience in Internet and other major computer programs.

4.Ability to use Sales and Front Office computer systems.

5.Ability and understanding of the market and competition.

6.Able to develop rapport with Colleagues and Management staff

7.Strong organization and time management skills in 8.Computer literate

9.Ability to do basic arithmetic

10.Understanding and ability to work in a multi-cultural environment

11.Excellent follow-up and documentation skills

12.Service industry experience preferably in a four or five star hotel

13.Ability to calmly and effectively execute last minute requests

 

Additional Skill required:

14.Excellent written and spoken Mandarin & English are a must.

15.Good computer skills with minimum requirement in use of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Internet and other popular software

16.Good interpersonal & communication skills

17.Ability to work independently and as a team
