From the very start of the programme, as an I-Grad Future Leader you will receive a salary and benefits package that is comparable to that of a hotel supervisor in the local market.

We’re looking for people with:
•A recent bachelor’s degree
•Chinese citizenship or permanent Chinese residency
•A high standard of English proficiency
•Excellent interpersonal skills
•Leadership qualities
•Passion for the hospitality industry
•At least six-month hospitality work experience, which can include an internship

Does my bachelor’s degree have to be in Hospitality or do you consider other disciplines?
We welcome applicants from any discipline; however, at least six months’ hospitality work experience or internship is required.

While we have no specific criteria, we’re looking for students with grades that demonstrate that you strive for excellence.

If I’m successful, how do you decide where my placement will be?
Throughout the selection process, we will evaluate which brand and property you are best suited for. We will, of course, take your own preferences into consideration too.
If I’m successful, when will I start on the graduate programme?
The programme begins in September this year. There may be some flexibility around this depending on the hiring hotel. Please ask the hotel HR Director during the interview process.
Can I defer my offer of a place until 2013?
Unfortunately not. The training programme for all I-Grad Future Leaders begins in September.

What hours will I work each week?
Your working hours will depend on the function you are specialising in. For more information, please ask your interviewer during the selection process.
Will I have to work weekends and shifts?

I-Graduate early and don’t want to wait until September to start working at IHG. Can you accommodate me?
During your telephone interview, please let us know that you will be available to start early. If you are selected, your hiring hotel will work directly with you to find a solution.
What happens when I successfully complete the programme?
You’ll be placed in a supervisor-level position in the department you have chosen to specialise in.
