PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES 主要职责

·         Direct the Banquet and Convention to ensure successful execution of hotel events. 

直接管理宴会及会议部以确保成功地执行酒店的宴会活动。

·         Ensure products and services delivered by the Banquet and Convention meet or exceed guest expectations, create customer loyalty and increase market share.

确保宴会及会议部提供的产品和服务的达到或超过客户的期望,创造客户忠诚度从而增加的市场份额。

·         Select, develop and retain a diverse hourly and management workforce to deliver excellent service and effective leadership in the operation. Create and sustain a work environment that focus on fair and equitable treatment and colleague satisfaction to enable business success. Manage part-time labour by holding them up to hotel’s standards.

在运营时,通过筛选、培养和保留劳动力的管理来提供绝佳的服务和执行有效的领导力。创造和维持公平和公正待遇以及让同事满意的工作环境,从而达到商业上的成功。管理小时工,使他们符合酒店的标准。

·         Builds the unit’s top line revenue by focusing the Banquet and Convention Team on the sale of products and services during the event phase.

·         Manages the daily operation of Banquet and Convention to achieve or exceed budget expectations.  Monitors salaries and expenses and makes ongoing adjustments as needed to achieve goals.

Operations运营

·         Work with the management team to develop and implement the business plan and long term strategies for event operations.

与管理团队,制定和执行宴会活动业务计划和长远策略。

·         Establish and monitor measurable goals for the department.

建立和监督可衡量的目标。

·         Adhere to all standards, policies and procedures.

严守所有的标准,政策和程序。

·         Assist with implementation and execution of all event related corporate initiatives and promotions.

协助实施和执行与活动相关的倡议和促销活动。

·           Oversee the execution of event logistics for all events – indoors and outdoors. Maintain customer satisfaction to insure retention and growth of business through referrals and repeat events.

·           Ensure the cleaning and maintenance of the banquet space and the corresponding area of the back area.

·           Ensure furniture and equipment is maintained and inventory levels are kept in accordance to corporate guidelines.

·           Work with culinary team to ensure compliance to food handling and sanitation standards.

·           Work with Human Resources Department to ensure compliance with all local regulations.

·           Ensure that regular, ongoing communication is happening in all areas of event operations (e.g., Banquet Event Order meetings, pre-event briefings, colleague meetings, Food and Beverage team, Culinary Team).

·           Communicate effectively with hotel departments.

·           Maintain a strong working relationship with guests, clients, vendors and competitors.

·           Review effectiveness of event operations annually and make appropriate adjustments.

·           Review colleague levels to ensure that guest service and operational needs are met.

·           Communicate and execute departmental and hotel emergency procedures and ensure colleagues are trained in safety procedures.

·           Anticipate service and colleague needs.

·           Review the scheduled activities with the subordinates and eliminate potential problems/ conflicts, and communicate it with the hotel related departments (if necessary).

Guest Satisfaction客户满意度

·           Display leadership in guest hospitality, exemplify excellent customer service and create a positive atmosphere for guest relations.

·           Attend meetings to understand group needs, set appropriate expectations and gather critical information to communicate with Banquet and Convention.

出席相关会议以了解团队需要。设置适当的期望,并且与宴会及会议部及时沟通一些收集到的重要信息。

·           Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service level and effectively respond to and handle guest problems and complaints.

积极与客人的互动,获取对产品和服务的反馈信息,及时有效地回应和处理客户的问题和投诉。

·           Empower colleagues to provide excellent customer service. Establish guidelines so colleagues understand expectations and parameters. Ensure colleagues receive on-going training to understand guest expectations.

给同事适当的权利,以提供卓越的客户服务。订立一些指示条文,使同事了解到期望和重要的参数环节。确保同事们得到持续的培训,以了解客户的期望。

·           Observe service behaviours of colleagues and provides feedback to individuals and managers and continuously strive to improve service performance.

观察同事的服务行为并提供反馈到当事人和经理,并且不断致力于提高服务水准。

 

Human Resources人力资源

·           Interview and hire management and part-time labours with the appropriate skills to meet the business needs of the operation.

面试和雇用具备适当的技能的管理人员和小时工,以满足业务运作的需要。

·           Develop, implement and maintain a departmental orientation program for colleagues to receive the appropriate new hire training to successfully perform their job.

·           Use all available on the job training tools for colleagues, implement and manage training initiatives and conducts training when appropriate.

·           Manage the temporary workers in the hotel so that they also comply with the standards of the hotel.

·           Develop ways and maintain relationships with organizations beyond the part-time companies.

·           Conduct part time-labour performance appraisals according to standard operating procedures.

·           Administer the performance appraisal process. Develop business goals and create appropriate development plans. Assist colleagues in developing their career aspirations and abilities based on their individual strengths.

·           Establish and maintain an open, cooperative relationship with colleagues, and ensure that every colleague of the team is consistent.

·           Colleagues have been managed to follow the disciplinary procedures within each region. Ensure the fairness and consistency of the implementation of the hotel policy. Ensure that disciplinary procedures and documents are in conformity with the standard of local operation.

·           Ensure self and managers attend appropriate core training classes.

Sales and Revenue Management 销售和收入管理

·           Establish and maintain an effective up-selling strategy to maximize revenue opportunities during the event phase.

建立和保持一个有效的向上销售策略,在活动期间,争取实现利润最大化。

·           Participate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process when necessary.

必要时参与协助销售,并且能够实地视察顾客需求。

·           Manage and monitor revenue & profitability generated during the whole event phase.

监督及管理在活动中产生的收益及营业额。

·           Identify and communicate revenue and profit opportunities.

识别并沟通增加收入和利润的机会。

·           Stay aware of market trends through active participation in regional/local catering/event management councils, reading industry magazines and trade journals and gathering competitive intelligence.

通过积极参与/当地宴会/宴会管理等管理咨询课程以及阅读行业杂志和行业杂志和收集的竞争情报来关注了解市场的趋势。

·           Introduce new products or service to meet or exceed customer expectations, generate increased revenue and ensure competitive position in the market; strive for competitive price and service agreement to suppliers.

·           Establish prices and service agreements with vendors to enhance the event experience and to increase additional revenue opportunities for the hotel.

Financial Management财务管理

·           Develop and manage Event Operation budget to meet or exceed budget goals.

·           Prepares monthly P&L report.

·           Review and manage controllable expenses such as equipment, operating supplies, etc.

复核和管理的可控性开支,如设备,经营用品等

·           Oversee labour scheduling and corresponding expenses for salary and benefits

监督劳动调度和相应的费用,如工资及福利。

·           Oversee all projects in Event Operations involving capital resources.

监督所有涉及的重要资源的宴会活动。

·           Keep Banquet and Convention focused on the critical components of operations to drive desired financial results.
