Operational:
1. Maximize revenue, profit, a with rooms
2. Manage the processes associated with demand, revenue, forecasting, opportunity analysis, and inventory management .
3. To be responsible for managing and maintaining the rate calendar for hotel.
4. To ensure the rate calendar is distributed to the front desk and sales team .
5. Identifying revenue problems and opportunities with sufficient lead time to positively impact revenues.
6. Continuous analysis of competitive sets, price positioning, seasonality and mix.
7. Manage group block activity including cut-off dates securing and reviewing all rooming lists, monitoring group block activity (e.g. pick-up, wash, etc.). Process reservations for Corporate /GM/VIP guests and employee reservations.
8. Ensure all no-shows and late cancellations are billed accordingly, insuring collection of revenue and room occupancy.
9. Responsible for the daily room inventory management process.
10. Work with SM on rate/inventory suitability of all potential group business.
11. Serve as liaison with corporate accounts for allotments over high demand periods.
12. Prepare weekly and monthly occupancy and revenue forecasts for hotels on a weekly basis to ensure proper staffing and distribute to operational departments within each Property.
13. Manage and monitor all distribution systems, including Global Distribution Systems (GDS) and internet distribution systems to maintain consistency with property level inventory strategies using rate tiger once implemented.
14. Professionally represent the hotel by participating in and/or conducting customer and industry functions (pre-event meetings, guest receptions, industry events, etc.).
15. Work with SM to help formulate special rates and promotions and come up with fresh ideas for existing promotions..
16. Optimize RevPAR by analyzing/forecasting demand and establishing effective selling strategies, oversell strategies, and optimal market mix, including group, transient, meeting space revenues etc.
17. Conduct ongoing competitor price/product analyses to ensure proper rate positioning/product offering relative to competition.
18. Generate and distribute weekly, and monthly revenue management reports and present results from all segments including internet channels.
19. Maintain historical statistical data from all distribution channels, in all market segments.
20. Continually monitor all pertinent travel-related websites to ensure competitiveness in both availability and price.
21. Provide technical support to Reservations and Front Office on up-selling and negotiating techniques.
Main Duties (Reservations):
1. To manage all reservations as per standard laid down in the SOP manual.
2. To attend the weekly management meeting.
3. To ensure the reservation are covered and monitored 24 hours a day.
4. To prepare the weekly forecast.
5. To keep SM updated daily on all reservations
6. To maintain an up to date and accurate guest history system for the hotel.
7. To manage a comprehensive correspondence check for all the arrivals.
8. To manage a comprehensive and accurate filing system for all room and apartment reservations.
9. To ensure all inquiries are dealt with and confirmed within 24 hours in writing.
10. To ensure all paperwork for each reservation is kept on file and communicated to Front Office.
11. To maximize any sales opportunity for the hotel.
12. To update the PMS system as and when required in order to maximize RevPar for the hotel.
13. To ensure that the rate banding is kept up to date and that this information is transmitted to the Front Office.
14. To communicate and work closely with the Front Office department.
15. To show around site inspections as and when required.
16. To do weekly room forecast for the hotel one week in advance with a detailed analysis on those guests which have made reservations.
17. To ensure that the hotel computer policies are adhered to.
18. To ensure no credit is given without appropriate back up and that company procedure is followed at all times.
19. To ensure all VIP guests are monitored.
20. To manage a pre-arrival program with the HOS manager and to update guest histories on any information we receive of all our guests.
