Description

The Director of Human Resources will lead and directall firm-wide human resources functions in accordance with the Firm’s policies,practices, and core values, as well as all federal and state laws andregulations that govern employment. He or she will direct the development,implementation and administration of HR programs, policies and procedures, andstrategic HR planning functions that enable the Firm to attract, develop, andmaintain the necessary talent to achieve business and strategic goals. TheDirector of Human Resources will partner with clients to understand businessneeds and develop HR strategies that support Firm objectives. He or she willalso advise management on HR best practices, organizational planning anddevelopment and will consult, advise and coach managers on HR-related issues,including participating in the design and implementation of leadershiptraining.

 

Responsibility

Develop, plan, direct, and implement firm-wide humanresources strategies, policies and programs which incorporate and advance thefirms overall businessstrategies.

Translate near- and long-term operating goals into HRprocesses, projects, and assignments and integrate and initiate work withappropriate personnel to ensure appropriate solutions are delivered to supportFirms strategies.

Assist senior management in evaluating the performanceof individual team members and provide development guidance; ensure that peoplehave the proper skills, tools and talents to perform their roles.

Develop and execute a lifecycle approach to talentmanagement focused on staffing, onboard, development, performance management,career/succession planning, talent movement and retention, leveraging workforceanalytics.

Coach business leaders on HR policies and processes,including talent planning, learning and development, and performance managementto promote engagement and a culture of continuous growth and development.

Develop integrated solutions from inception topost-delivery assessment.

Leverage HR metrics and business data to provideinsights and enable data informed decision making.

 

Qualifications:

A minimum of ten years of broad-based, progressive regionalhuman resources management experience with highly sophisticated, fast-paced,dynamic, multi-office law firm, professional international hotel services, orother highly sophisticated organizations.

Extensive experience leading all aspects of the humanresources function, including strategic planning, employee relations,performance management, talent acquisition, benefits, training and development,and compliance.

Strong background driving innovative human resourcesprograms and initiatives; broad and deep understanding of federal, state, andlocal regulatory guidelines on a national basis;

A consultative, collaborative, and clientservice-oriented approach to human resources management;

Outstanding interpersonal, communication,organizational and analytical skills; the ability to lead through influencerather than control and to create consensus-based support for businessstrategies and decisions;

An unwavering commitment to ethics and high integritycoupled with an impeccable industry reputation;

Strong decision making, analytical and problem-solvingskills coupled with the ability to exercise independent judgment anddiscretion.

Must be a thought leader with a proven record ofdeveloping and leading a skilled team of professionals.

An undergraduate degree in human resources, business,or a related field is required; advanced degree and Professional HumanResources certification is preferred.
