Under the general direction and guidance of the HRCC Shanghai  management, HRCC Shanghai, a Reservation Sales Representative is responsible for  answering incoming telephone calls and providing specialized sales and service  solutions that meet the needs of our guests and members. Agents are expected to  work flexible shifts, use effective sales and engagement techniques to maximize  revenue, foster increased member loyalty, and deliver superior service. Agents  assist guests and HHonors members with all aspects of making, modifying, and  canceling room reservations and provide specialized service to assist members  with managing their HHonors accounts. Agents are responsible for meeting revenue  objectives, customer satisfaction, and productivity targets. What will it be  like to work for this Hilton Worldwide Brand? What will I be doing?

Answer inbound telephone calls 20%

Answer the telephone and greet guests, members in a friendly,  engaging manner using clear verbal communication.

  • Provide reservation sales services and Hilton HHonors  account services through the use of a computer reservations system and other  applications while maximizing revenue for the Hilton family of brands.
  • Effectively identify the needs of each guest
  • Use effective sales techniques to meet guests needs and  maximize revenue
  • Effectively overcome barriers to satisfy guests
  • Consistently meet or exceed target for sales conversion and  average daily room rate
  • Offer ancillary products or services as required
  • Consistently puts self into the customers’ shoes
  • Builds trust with guest by listening and asking engaging,  needs-based questions
  • Uses appropriate resources to offer effective solutions that  meet the guests’ travel needs
  • Reads, retrieves, communicates and verifies reservations or  account details as required
  • Makes sound decisions to resolve issues at the first point  of contact
  • Consistently demonstrates effective time management  skills
  • Displays dependability.
  • Consistently service the customers in an efficient  manner
  • Does not engage in idle chit chat, rather focuses on  information that pertains to customer needs
  • Stays current with all reference material, agent briefings,  system and procedural enhancements

What are we looking for?

  • Proficient in Hilton HHonors Customer Service and  Reservation Sales
  • Effective language communication skills, with the ability to  clearly and concisely express and understand ideas both verbally and in  writing
  • Strong problem solving skills, including ability to  effectively address any issue in collaboration with others as appropriate;  ability to proactively identify and prevent potential problems
  • Strives for new ways to continually increase personal sales  and engagement effectiveness
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions
  • Ability to maintain and project a positive image in  telephone conversations to ensure customer loyalty
  • Ability to identify key information from a conversation that  is non-specific or incomplete to determine guests’ needs and  preferences
  • Ability to understand and appropriately acknowledge the  importance of a customer’s request or problem to build customer trust and  confidence
  • Ability to process information and maintain composure under  stressful situations
  • Ability to respond in a friendly and efficient manner to  guest's “small talk” in order to build rapport and trust with the  customer
  • Ability to effectively match the features and benefits  offered by each hotel brand to the needs of each guest
  • Flexibility in scheduling required for all hours, days,  nights and holidays.
  • High School graduate or equivalent qualification required  ·
  • Outstanding customer service and customer engagement  skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that build trust and instill  confidence in order to generate reservations and continued guest loyalty  ·
  • Proven ability to effectively resolve difficult situations  ·
  • Ability to speak, read and write English &  Mandarin
  • Available to work full-time, flexible work  schedule
