Responsibilities

  • Drive the regional sales team to meet sales (revenue and pax numbers) target for assigned region.
  • Drive the allotted brands to meet sales (revenue and pax numbers) target.
  • Ensure the regional sales team implements effective measures in line with the strategic direction and to ensure achieving a minimum or targeted market share level within all accounts. Ensure that High Growth Accounts are identified and robust growth plans in place.
  • Work together with trade partners to source business opportunities and develop proactive and effective sales campaigns, ensuring that our co-op funds are invested in areas that give us the greatest return on investment.
  • Manage the regional sales budget in particular co-op budget (business development funds) and in ensuring accurate monthly and quarterly forecasting of all costs.
  • Monitor to increase market awareness of assigned products among the travel industry, corporate & associations and direct market in the sales region.
  • Drive the team to develop new business model, opportunities and identify market potentials in the sales region to capture FIT, theme cruisers and MICE group business from travel agents, corporate & associations, E-channels and direct market of the sales region.
  • Drive the team to maintain good relationship with related tourism board and major clients (travel agents, OTA, e-commercial partners, corporate). To pay personal visit and/or entertain with those top executives when required.
  • Explore and work with joint-promotion partners such as travel agents, tourism offices, airlines for image-building and/or cruise booking capturing joint-promotion projects.
  • Introduce related products to travel agents, corporate & associations in the sales region through sales visits, product presentations and seminars.
  • Monitor cruise package, selling price, AD and collateral in the market, provide the market including competitors' related information customers’ feedback, and demands for management.
  • Work closely with the Head of Marketing and Revenue Management to ensure the effectiveness and timely implementation of key campaigns. Work with marketing team and 3rd commercial parties to develop niche markets
  • Continue to develop our award winning training program and ensure that we continue to provide the trade with the best face to face and online training in the industry and effective familiarization trips (seminars at sea).
  • Ensure Business Partner agreements in place and annual commercial terms signed with all accounts.
  • Sail with incentive groups and/or familiarization groups when required.
  • Prepare weekly sales plan and weekly sales activity report to management.
  • Coordinate with Finance, Legal and Yield Management for booking T&C and payment collection.
  • Work closely with call centre for products update and travel agents' booking.
  • Perform other tasks as required by Head of Sales, SVP.


Qualifications & Experience

  • University graduated with a degree on Business Management or relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of sales experience with promoting premium brand product is preferable.
  • Aggressive, self-motivated, independent and able to work under pressure.
  • A strong ability of services, team leader management, and professional sales skill in sales management is essential
  • Good interpersonal and communication skill
  • Good command of written & spoken English and Mandarin.
  • PC knowledge in Windows and MS office
