The incumbent is responsible for the servicing and management of specific accounts within an assigned area. He or she will assist the Director of Sales in focusing and motivating the sales team to achieve the room night goals for their particular market segment as laid out in the Marketing Plan.

Duties and Supporting Responsibilities
1. Visit and entertain all key accounts regularly
2. Ensure all enquiries are handled by the reactive sales team promptly and efficiently
3. To ensure that all information related to all accounts are recorded in PSMS and filed accordingly, and to maintain the accuracy of information in the systems
4. Conduct account review and account audit to check on the information obtained for each of the accounts
5. Review Call Reports to ensure that all accounts are properly managed
6. Ensure that sales call plan is set up by all sales associates and the plan is efficiently used
7. Coach and counsel all associates to ensure timely rectification of performance
8. Conduct on the job training to all associates by arranging joint calls with sales associates and reviewing with them their performance during the sales call
9. Ensure that all sales associates are conducting business according to the Mandarin Oriental set guidelines
10. Conduct regular performance review for sales associates and keep a written record for future follow up
11. Constantly communication with market sales, alliance account team and GSOs to discuss on needs of the hotel and to ensure full coverage of all accounts
12. Ensure that all sales associates are properly dressed in uniforms or business attire and the general appearance is according to the hotel standard
13. In charge of the overall conduct of the sales team such as telephone handling, punctuality, compliance to the hotel rules and regulations.
Job Requested
1. Bachelor’s degree in Hotel or Tourism Management
2. Well versed with market situation and able to react promptly with tactics
3. Excellent interpersonal skills, a good team player with outgoing personality
4. Excellent relationship management skills and provide seamless service to booking handlers
5. Good understanding of selling techniques and MICE knowledge
6. Effective sales & negotiation skills
7. Good presentation skills
8. Familiar with MS Word, Excel and Chinese Word Processing, Opera will be an asset.
Excellent command of written and spoken English
9. Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities
10. Possess pre-opening work experience in hotel projects.
