· To conduct credit investigationso that an intelligent appraisal of the customer's worth, character and abilityto pay may be ascertained to justify extension of credit.

· To follow-up collection ofaccounts receivable regularly in a manner calculated to produce positiveresults and at the time maintain good relations with the customer.

· Responsible to charge HiltonValue rate and Advance Purchasing rate bookings by client’s credit card.

· To review supporting documentsverifying the accuracy of the balance of receivables.

· To recommend write-off ofuncollectible accounts.

· To report immediately anyunfavorable information received affecting a customer's credit standing so thatappropriate action maybe taken.

· To report directly to the DOSM/DBD or DOF all matters affecting credit and collection.

· To supervise the activities ofthe Credit department in order to achieve an effective and efficientperformance, which will also include the proper co-ordination with the AccountsReceivable section for the timely and accurate billing of accounts includingreconciliation.

· To see that the applicablepolicies and procedure as contained in the Standard Practice Instruction Manual(S.P.I.) and hotel policies are observed.

· To ensure billing instructions(i.e. separate folios for room, F&B, etc.) are correctly implemented at theearliest possible stage for unusual bookings.

· To coordinate with CreditManagers of other major hotels in the city and China in general where necessary,so that an exchange of information regarding credit risks guests and travelagents can be maintained.

· Prepare monthly collection listat the start of each month and make a weekly update of collection made withcopies to Director of Business Development and Controller.
