1. 确保酒店的设备及系统是在安全和有效的情况下运作，包括电、煤气，冷热水、高低蒸汽供应等。
2. 维修及保养各项设备及设施、电力装置，建筑物及装饰。
3. 监督及执行预防性保养工作。
4. 监督及执行宴会厅的音响及视频设备的安装工作。
5. 如有紧急召集，如火警，升降机故障，或是破坏夹万等，必须立刻前往。
6. 要尽速响应顾客的维修或服务要求，不论该项要求是来自其它部门或是工程部。
7. 必须尽速响应服务性部门，如厨房，洗衣店，餐饮或其它相关部门等的协助或维修要求，因为它们对顾客的影响是直接和实时的。
8. 确保环境舒适整理。
9. 维持所有机机械及电掣房干净。
10. 提供准确和详细的运作状态纪录，例如空调，锅炉，管道和排水等等。
11. 监督新工程员工的工作训练。
12. 执行上级领导安排的其它工作及任命。
