The Job
Reporting to the Director of Food and Beverage, the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage is a senior manager who works closely with the Director to ensure guests receive the highest level of food and service. This position requires a leader that has creativity, strategic and critical thinking skills, and able to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
 
Responsibilities: 
- Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate and coach employees and managers in multiple Food & Beverage operations to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met.
- Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory control while focusing on creative revenue generation solutions to maximize profit.
- Maintain visibility in the operation, recognize and maintain relationships with regular guests as well as cultivate relationships with new patrons.
- Communicate with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met as well as attend regular operational meetings for effective coordination and cooperation between departments. 
 
Requirements:
- College Degree, preferably specializing in hotel/restaurant management
- A minimum of 3 years direct experience in senior food & beverage leadership positions. Experience in mainland China is an essential criteria
- Advanced level of proficiency in written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
- Solid and clear communication skills to effectively engage with a diverse range of internal and external customers
- Strong business acumen in strategic planning and process management, analytical, and is computer and systems savvy
- Passionate, creative and sensitive to different cultures and trends
- Expected to be a culture carrier, has strong communication, problem solving, planning, organizing and influencing skills
