Checks in the arriving guest and checks out the departing guests in a friendly and caring manner according to the Kempinski Hotel procedures and standards
Upon check in, registers guest and assigns rooms. Accommodate special requests whenever possible. If needed, assists guests in completing the registration cards. Use suggestive selling techniques to sell rooms and to promote other services of the hotel. Verifies the guest’s method of payment and follows established credit-checking procedures or refers cash handling payment to cashiers. Invite bellman or ourselves to escort guest to the room and explain room facilities for first time guest.
Responsible for register guests in the local Police and Security Bureau system according to the legal requirements. Promote and maintain effective, confidential and secure record keeping.
Upon departure of guests, processes the guest check out procedures. Inquire for last minute charges. Receive payment from guests. Settles the guest account and gives copy of the invoice.
Coordinates room status updates with the housekeeping department by notifying them of all group check-outs, late check-outs, early check-ins and special requests.
Handle all front office cashiers’ transactions such as posting charges, exchanging foreign currency according to the procedures. At the end of shift, balances his/her cash float.
Answers all guests’ requests and questions in a friendly and caring manner, whether by telephone or in person, provides/receives information and takes appropriate actions or refers the matters to the relevant persons to handle. It may be and not inclusive of issuing a safe deposit box, handling messages or dealing with a complaints.
Provide comprehensive service to guest and assists guest with typing, facsimile service, telephone and photocopying etc. Keeps a complete record of each service provided in the Business Center and make sure they are billed and collected from guests.
Accept and record wake-up call requests, deliver to Guest Service Center。
Note and coordinate compliance with guest needs, ensure proper recognition and preference and delivery for all guests by the appropriate department.
Maintain guest history files on all guests。
Keep informed of product and service knowledge as well as the hotel daily and meeting activities.
Keep abreast on hotel products and services as well as on tourist and business traveling information that may be of any interest to our guests in order to be able to answer guests’ questions.
Maintain the neatness of his/her working area.
Possess a working knowledge of the room reservation procedures.
At the end of shift, handover and reporting guest comments，complaint, unusual situations and incidents that need follow up, to ensure efficiency in the operation and reports to Front Office Duty Manager
