1、主要职责，首先从操作、维修和技术上保证酒店的正常供电和安全运行，对该专业和设备负主要责任，同时又服从工程部安排，担负水电复合工的其他工作。
2、强电工必须持劳动部门颁发的上岗证，无证不得独立操作。
3、强电工负责酒店所有强电设备维修保养和清洁卫生，如电箱、电机、电灯、电缆、电梯等，强电工必须遵照电业安全规程，安全作业。
4、强电工必须熟悉所操作设备和系统的技术性能，正确掌握操作方法，做到会使用、会维护、会保养，并能发现问题、正确处理问题，会排除该专业出现的一切故障。
5、复杂步骤的维修操作，应由主管或领班监护进行，并实行严格的交接班制度，交接班双方须共同检查所有设备、记录，并签字。交接班时发生故障，应共同处理，故障处理完毕，交班人才能下班。
6、接设备维修通知，应立即到位，迅速抢修，以最短时间完成任务，并保证质量，确保酒店正常运行。维修完毕，须清洁现场，恢复原状。
7、严格遵守保养规程及各项规章制度，维修人员违反制度，拖延时间或造成维修质量低劣，从而影响营业或设备损坏追究当事人责任。
8、值班电工巡检，发现问题及时报告，并认真做好运行记录。
9、服从领导安排，包括班次调动，专业调整，完成上级交待的其他任务。
10、接设备维修通知，应立即到位，迅速抢修，以最短时间完成任务，并保证质量，确保酒店正常运行。维修完毕，须清洁现场，恢复原状。
11、严格遵守保养规程及各项规章制度，维修人员违反制度，拖延时间或造成维修质量低劣，从而影响营业或设备损坏追究当事人责任。
12、必须熟悉所操作设备的技术性能，正确掌握操作方法，做到会使用、会维护、会保养。
