Job Description

Responsible for maintaining proper credit procedures throughout the hotel in accordance with both local and corporate policies and procedures. The Operation Manager is at the ADH level and requires the ability of Mandarin both in written and oral.

Manage collection of accounts approved for billing and process upon departure payments and supervise the day-to-day activities of the Accounts Receivable staff and evaluate performance based on hotel policy. 

Assist with processing all bills by verifying accuracy and completeness of invoices. Investigate all requests for billing as final authority over credit approval and individual guest inquiries.

Review with Director of Finance or Assistant Director of Finance all accounts that are over 45 days and implement collection procedures and write off or adjust uncollectible amounts in accordance with established corporate guidelines.

Responsible for the verification and reporting of hotel revenues, the review of paperwork turned in to Accounting to document such revenues and the preparation and publication of a Daily Revenue report to be used internally by the Hotel Managers to review financial performance and to forecast future business levels.

Monitor the safeguarding of the hotel’s assets by reviewing hotel credits issued by both Rooms division and Food & Beverage and ascertaining the business purpose of such credits and proper manager approval.

Review daily void reports from the hotel’s F&B POS system to ensure proper inventory control in the F&B department.

Track the sale and redemption of hotel gift cards to calculate the hotel’s liability.
