Oversees the development, maintenance and update of a detailed Departmental Operations Manual that reflects Policies & Procedures, work processes and standards of performance within the Division. Ensures annual review to accurately reflect any changes.
Assists with the preparation of the annual Rooms Business Plan, ensuring Divisional Objectives fully address business objectives of the Hotel and needs of employees.
Responsible for the preparation and regular update of the Laundry Departmental Budget, works closely with the Housekeeping Manager, ensuring targets are met and costs are effectively controlled.
Maintains the Daily Log Book.
Ensures and strictly adheres to the par stocks for all operating equipment, supplies, and inventoried items.
Conduct monthly inventory checks on all operating equipment and supplies.
Controls the requisitioning, storage and careful use of all operating equipment and supplies.
Liaises with Housekeeping and other related departments on daily operations.
Works closely with all departments to ensure consistent collection, supply and smooth delivery of employees’ uniform and hotel linen.
Ensures Laundry charges for the day are posted into the point of sale system and operated correctly.
Ensures that all employees establish a rapport with guests.
Handles all guest requests and inquiries of Laundry and Hotel service.
Ensures all Laundry equipment and machines are being handled and maintained in good working condition at all times.
Ensures all guests’ garments and hotel uniform and linen are treated with quality care and stipulated maintenance standards.
Ensures services provided by the Department are always available and are always carried out to define Standard with the utmost efficiency, consistency and courtesy as detailed in the Departmental Operations Manual.
Do periodically check and maintenance to laundry equipment, ensure all equipment in safety condition.
Do safety training to all laundry staff.
Use and manager hotel keys according to hotel policy.
Ensure the reasonability of daily task assignment and monitor the quality and process
