About Four Seasons Hotel Suzhou
Four Seasons Hotel Suzhou is a luxury island retreat fully commanding a 30 acre (12 hectare) private island on the scenic Jinji Lake. Set to open in the second half of 2023, the Hotel will have over 200 well-appointed rooms, suites and private villas, lush gardens, indoor and outdoor pools offering a lifestyle that is uniquely Suzhou and uncompromising service that is uniquely Four Seasons.

Job Description
The Four Seasons Hotel Suzhou is looking for Head Sommelier who shares a passion for excellence and who infuse enthusiasm into everything they do.

Job Summary
• Prepare and serve a selection of wines as per the established Four Seasons Standards.
• Confirm guest orders including any special needs or requests from the restaurant server using the hotel’s point-of-sales system; check completed orders with the guest’s original order.
• Service and take orders for wines from guests as per the request from any restaurants.
• Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
• Properly and accurately close guest checks; process cash and credit card payments; properly settle voided checks or complimentary items.
• Is responsible for the monthly or weekly wine inventory.
• Is responsible to maintain the wine cost by as per the set standards of the Four Seasons. Controls spillage, spoilage, overpour or undercharging the guests.
• Maintains the spoilage report of wines.
• Checks wines storage and temperature of all wine cellars of all restaurants.
• Followup with assistance of finance for all wine contracts and tracks the rebate amount.
• Creates a profitable wine by glass program and banquet wine program.
• Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact.
• Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
• Takes trainings for wine program for team members and creates wine champions in all restaurants.

Requirements
We are looking for individuals who are strategic, have strong business acumen, good communication, and interpersonal skills.

Requirements
We are looking for individuals who are strategic, have strong business acumen, good communication, and interpersonal skills.
• At least 2~3 years relevant experience on equal role, preferably in an International luxury hotel.
• Minimum two years as sommelier work.
• Certified by international wine certification program.
• Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
• Mandarin Speaking and Work authorization in China is a must.

al role, preferably in an International luxury hotel.
• Minimum two years as sommelier work.
• Certified by international wine certification program.
• Is able to serve wines and champagne as per standards set by Four Seasons. Is able to do decanting for wines as per standard.
• A Good command of both written and spoken Chinese and English.
• Work authorization in China is a must.
