职位描述

Job Summary:

To administer policies and procedures, oversee and monitor the

Recreation Department, assist in promoting and marketing

the facility, and provide personal attention to the guests. Directly

responsible for day to day operations of the Spa.


Duties & Responsibilities:

Ø  Administration

1.         To ensure that the Recreation activities are aligned with the respective Corporate Strategy, and that the Hotel Actions have been introduced and implemented where appropriate.

2.         Assists in the preparation and update of individual Departmental Operations Manuals.

3.         To attend regular divisional communications meetings and ensure that departmental briefings and meetings are effective and conducted as necessary.

4.         Prepares monthly reports on all Recreation and Camp Hyatt aspects, to include statistical analysis of participation and use of facilities, programs and equipment evaluation.

5.         To develop and implement with the Director of Spa, the operational policies and procedures

6.         To control and monitor all administrative, financial and sales operations.

 

Ø  Customer Service

1.         Ensures that all Team members deliver the brand promise and provide exceptional guest service at all times.

2.         Ensures that Team members also provide excellent service to internal customers in other departments as appropriate.

3.         Handles guest and Team member enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, reporting complaints or problems if no immediate solution can be found, whilst feeding back a prompt follow up.

4.         Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.

Ø  Financial

1.         Maximizes Team member productivity through the use of multi-skilling, multi-tasking and flexible scheduling to meet the financial goals of the business as well as the expectations of the guests.

2.         To operate efficiently and profitably, all aspects of business within the Club in accordance with the standard of service required by the hotel.

3.         Ensures inventory management and ongoing maintenance of Recreation operating equipment and other assets.

4.         Ensures that the Department's operational budget is in line and that all costs are strictly controlled.

5.         To prepare budget forecasts and marketing plans in conjunction with the Director of Spa.

6.         Maximizes Recreation sales and revenues for the hotel.

7.         To monitor all costs and recommend/institute measures to control them in accordance with the annual budget.

 

Ø  Marketing

1.         Ensures that all in-house rules and regulations are introduced and communicated to Team members and implemented.

2.         Constantly monitors and evaluates local, national and international market trends, and the competitor hotels’ sales initiatives, in order to make sure the Recreation programs and equipment remain competitive and cutting edge.

3.         Continuously seeks Public Relations opportunities to increase awareness and ultimately business.

4.         Greets RW guests and potential members personally as and when necessary.

5.         Attends relative functions, promotions for and on behalf of the Recreation when necessary.

Ø  Operational

1.         Ensures through effective supervision that all services offered in the Recreation are always available and carried out with the utmost efficiency and courtesy as per the Recreation Departmental Operations Manual.

2.         Maintains a high profile within the Recreation by becoming involved with the activities, becoming a model of fitness and health.

3.         Maintains a good relation with all Recreation members, guests and visitors.

4.         Plans and programs all Recreation activities with Director of Spa.

5.         Maintains a close inspection of the state of repair of the buildings and equipment.

6.         Continually educates and updates oneself on the various components of the Recreation Operation, Maintenance and Growth, and to recommend to Management any new innovations and/or changes.

7.         Takes active measures to assist in the promotion and public awareness of the Recreation.

8.         Work closely with the Housekeeping Manager on towel par levels and up keeping of the Recreation Area and Pool.

9.         Maintains a close relationship with the Spa Manager to ensure alignment between the two departments.

10.      To coordinate with other relevant departments to handle specific sport and recreational activities for group and / or incentive groups.

11.      To ensure that the various recreational facilities are operating profitably.

12.      To control and monitor all administrative, financial and sales operation for the Recreation facilities.

13.      To take active measures to assist in the in-house promotion and guest awareness of the recreation facilities.

14.      To ensure the smooth integration with all other hotel operating departments, ensuring that all Team members have a thorough knowledge of the Recreation facilities and services.

15.      To ensure that the Recreation facilities and services are Market Leader in all aspects of provision.

16.      Familiar with all Fire and Emergency Procedure.

 

Ø  Personnel

1.         Assists in the recruitment and selection of Recreation Team members.  Ensures that hotel guidelines are adhered to when recruiting and use a competency-based approach to selecting Team members.

2.         Oversees the punctuality and appearance of all Recreation Team members, making sure that they wear the correct uniform and maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene, according to the hotel and department’s grooming standards.

3.         Ensures a strong professional relationship with all levels of Team members within the hotel, taking an active interest in their safety and development.

4.         Encourages Team members to be creative and innovative, challenging and recognizing them for their contribution to the success of the operation.

5.         Assists in the development of Team members through ongoing feedback and monthly meetings.

6.         Communicates training needs to the Rooms Departmental Trainer and monitors the implementation carefully.

7.         Conducts annual Performance Development Discussions with Recreation Team members, supports them in their professional development goals.

8.         Plans and implements effective training programs for all Recreation Team members in coordination with the Learning and Development Manager and Departmental Trainers.

9.         Supports Departmental Trainers through ongoing feedback and assistance at monthly meetings.

Develops the skills and effectiveness of all Recreation Team members through the appropriate training, coaching, and/or mentoring.


Additional Skill required:

1.       Ability to be resourceful, creative and maintain flexibility.

2.       Ability to train, motivate, evaluate, mentor and direct Team members and managers to meet desired ends.

3.       Ability to manage by example.

4.       Ability to maintain excellent relations with Team members and maintain Team member and guest confidentiality at all times.

5.       Ability to create, implement and monitor hotel and Team member’s goals, strategies and policies.

6.       Ability to organize adults and kids activities.
