Job Purpose
In this position, the Cyber Security Engineer is expected to help protect Accor’s network against persistent security threats. Working as part of a global Hotels & Hubs security team, the security engineer is an expert in one or more fields of information security (infrastructure, application, network, compliance), performs, and designs security solutions accordingly. The security specialist should possess the following qualities: degree in computer science, information technology, or systems engineering. A detail-oriented individual able to quickly detect anything out of the ordinary on a day-to-day basis.

Primary Responsibilities

 * Planning, implementing, managing, monitoring, and upgrading security measures for the protection of the organization's data, systems, and networks.
 * Participating in the change management process.
 * Testing and detecting network and system vulnerabilities.
 * Troubleshooting security and network problems.
 * Responding to all system and/or network security breaches.
 * Identify and prevent malicious activity, carry out reviews of security events, and improve methods to develop security incident identification.
 * Work with local and global teams to make sure that the business follows the necessary policies and regulations regarding IT security (i.e. PCI-DSS, GDPR).
 * Liaise with other security team members around cyber security strategy, and reporting security information to management and executives.

Knowledge and Experience

 * A degree in computer science, IT, systems engineering, or related qualification.
 * Strong IT skills and knowledge including experience with firewalls, network security, endpoint security, incident detection and incident response.
 * Proficiency in programming languages, such as Python, C++, Java, Ruby, Go or PowerShell
 * Great awareness of cybersecurity trends and hacking techniques.
 * Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
 * Great interpersonal and communication skills
 * Excellent command of both written and spoken English
