1.上岗时要求衣冠整洁、端庄大方、笑容可掬、彬彬有礼。
2.熟知当天订餐的单位(或个人)名称、时间、人数及台位安排等情况，注意记录客人的特别活动(如生日庆祝会)，如有重要情况，应及时向领班主管汇报。替客人存取保管衣物，并询问有无贵重物品，贵重物品提醒客人自行保管。
3.整理、准备菜单、酒水单，发现破损及时更换。
4.迎接客人，引导客人到预订台位或客人满意的台位，为客人拉椅，铺好餐巾，递上菜单酒水单。
5.客满时，负责安排好后到的顾客，使客人乐于等位。
6.留意常客姓名，以增加客人的亲切感和自豪感。
7.随时注意听取顾客的意见，及时向上级反映
8.随时注意在接待工作中的各种问题，及时向上级反映和协助处理。
9.掌握和运用礼貌语言，如：“先生、小姐您好，欢迎光临”、“欢迎您到我们餐厅就餐”等。
10.负责接听电话，客人电话订餐应问清楚姓名、单位、时间及人数，传听电话要准确、快捷。
向客人介绍餐厅各式菜点、各种饮品和特式菜点，吸引客人来餐厅就餐。客人用餐后离开餐厅时，站在门口目送客人、征求客人意见并向客人表示感谢，欢迎客人下次光临
