职位描述

Position Summary

This position is based in Shanghai but in charge of South East Asia & Pacific Rim (SEAPR) WHR hotels AR related matters. The position will manage specific finance functions related to the analysis and reconciliation of payments for international accounts in order to maintain appropriate cash application and minimal unapplied cash. The position will also reconcile withholding tax receipts and VAT (where applicable) and perform withholding and VAT (where applicable) adjustments and other miscellaneous write-offs. The position also requires the daily identification and application of payments. Where payment details are not available the position must work with the Financial Service Representative(s) to obtain the payment application details.

    

The position requires interaction with SEAPR franchisees in order to effectively reconcile withholding tax adjustments. In addition the candidate will be assigned a set number of accounts that they will be responsible for making collection calls, negotiating payment plans, and performing account reconciliations. The position requires an understanding of withholding tax implications.


Responsibilities

  • Identification, analysis, reconciliation, and application of international payments, including reconciliation of foreign exchange differences
  • Reconcile withholding tax receipts and VAT and process necessary adjustments
  • Perform collection calls, negotiate payment arrangement, and complete account reconciliations
  • Timely processing of payments and write-offs, ensuring accounts reflect accurate amounts due, in turn impacting the collectability by the Financial Services Representative.  

     

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree, financial related major will be a plus
  • 2+ Years professional experience in a finance/analytical related role, Account Receivable experience will be a plus
  • Highly proficient in Excel, especially Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP
  • Prior customer service experience is needed
  • Motivated, detail oriented person who is able to work independently in a fast paced environment
  • Must be persistent with excellent follow up skills
  • Good problem-solving and decision making skills
  • Must be results driven and oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Comfortable on the phone
  • Good organizational and planning skills
  • Must work well with others and be able to contribute to a team
  • Proficient with computers is required
  • Understand impact of market conditions and hotel industry challenges, hotel experience will be a plus
