Position Summary
This position will be responsible for the management and implementation of technology for all Wyndham Hotels & Resorts locations in Greater China. This position partners with the Head of IT / various operational leads and strategic vendors to provide coordination and guidance in ensuring compliance with Wyndham PMS standards, project methodology and processes, and execution of our technology standards.
Responsibilities:
WHR – Hotel Support
Responsible for on-going communications related to Opera two-way interface including updates of deliverables, budget utilization, timelines, and critical path
Manage risks and make recommendations to address issues related to technology and is overall accountable and responsible for the successful delivery of the Wyndham PMS Standard in a hotel opening or conversion.
This position will establish liaison with, and manage performance and deliverables of external service providers involved in the project.
Communicates on a regular and frequent basis with internal stakeholders to obtain updates on the Opera two-way interface status of opening hotel project Processes and Activities.
Documents and inputs relevant data into the online Processes and Activities promptly to ensure the status of Critical Path & Milestone Schedules are accurate and always up to date.
Day-to-day management of new hotel preopening and conversion processes.
Skills & Qualification
Strong communications skills to be able to sell the IT value proposition to internal and external stakeholders.
Sales experience (hotel, retail or otherwise) would be considered a plus.
College degree, project management / IT related / hotel management related degree or equivalent experience
At least 3-years working experience in the hospitality industry
Technical competency in software, hardware and networking systems and a comfort learning new technologies.
Business Communication skill in English and Mandarin
Is target-oriented and process-driven.
Is organized and methodical with a strong sense of ownership and follow-up.
Is flexible and committed to task achievement.
Is enthusiastic, confident, self-reliant, and willing to go the extra mile.
Knowledge of hotel systems (e.g. PMS, CRS, Accounting System, Procurement System, etc.)
Microsoft Office literate. Outlook, Word and Excel are a minimum, PowerPoint and Project would be a plus.
