1.Assistant Director of Sales oversees the sales operation of the hotel, providing leadership in all selling activities of the hotel, working closely with the General Manager and Hotel Manager-Guest Services  to maximise revenue and REVPAR.
2.Develops, implements, maximises, monitors and evaluates the hotel’s Sales Strategy (goals, tactics and actions) to achieve and exceed forecasted revenue figures.
3.Ensures Sales activities are aligned with the Corporate Marketing Strategy and Hotel Actions have been implemented where appropriate.
4.Reviews sales files and systems to ensure correct booking procedures, including group room and meeting programme history, contractual agreements, room block analysis, credit and payment documents, etc.
5.Ensures active presence and updated room rates are available online.
6.Reviews reservations and ensures occupancy targets are being achieved and exceeded.
7.Monitors all hotel employees in delivering the brand promise and provides exceptional guest service at all times, providing positive and constructive feedback as necessary.
8.Ensures that all associates are provided with the skills necessary to “sell” the hotel and upsell where possible.
9.Handles all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to ensure problems are resolved satisfactorily.
10.Maintains positive guest and associate interactions with good working relationships.
11.Handles all business and leisure groups and provides excellent services to meeting planner and meeting guests.
