MAJOR FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Chief Concierge is responsible for managing and coordinatingthe special needs of all guests in the Hotel. Any special request a guestmakes, as long as it is not illegal or immoral, will be fulfilled to the guest of the Concierge ability. If a guest request cannot be met, the Concierge must suggest and provides as many suitable alternatives as possible. A conciergemust have a strong and extensive knowledge of the local area and of resources available to our guests. In addition a Concierge must always exercise sound judgment in acting on both the guest’s and the hotel’s behalf.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for the proper and efficient functioning of the Concierge Section, maximizing guests'satisfaction.
2 Responsibleto coordinate all guests’ outgoing mails and incoming mails, courier items-citywide andinternational.
3.Handles deliveries to guests'rooms maintaining proper records.
4.Handles deliveries and processing guests’ facsimiles.
5.Handles guests’ request/enquiries in a professional and helpful manner.
6.Maintaining updated and relevant information to handle guests'enquiries.
7.Arrange and confirms travel arrangements for guests.
8.Secures rental cars for guests.
9.Recommends books and confirms dining reservations, tours and theatre/performing arts.
10.Recommends shopping recommendations.
11.Assists guests with directions in city.
12.Books and confirms limousine transfers.
13.Books and confirms taxi requests.
14.Books and confirms transportation request other than hotel limousines.
15.Coordinates and ensure timely deliveries and collections of guests’ luggage
16.Assists guests with airline lost luggage inquiries
17.Provides luggage /miscellaneous guest item storage.
18.Supervises and guides the Service Associates–Concierge to ensure the policies and procedures are adhered to.
19.Supervises the Concierge operation and work flow to maximize guests’ satisfaction.
20.Thoroughly be familiar with all emergency procedures and ensure the safety of all hotel employees and guests at all times.
21.Ensures arriving guests are welcomed warmly and departing guests are sent-off fondly.
22.Assumes other duties as assigned by FOM.
