Principle Responsibilities & Position Purpose:

This position is concerned with assisting in the supervision of all repair and maintenance and new installations. Ensuring the safety operation in the hotel.

Essential Responsibilities:

General supervision of shift operation, all staffs under his control and the allocation of work and distribution of the workforce in accordance with instruction from the Chief Engineer.

Liaise with the Engineer in the department preventative maintenance program and supervise the implementation during his duty.

与各主管联络，在本班内检查计划维保工作的进展情况。

Inspect and control the efficiency of all plants, associated system and equipment.

Recommend changes of equipment or procedures to achieve the highest possible savings on operation and energy cost.

Maintain a Log Book of all occurrences during his watch.

Ensure smooth hand-over to the next shift staff and discuss action to be taken with respect to uncompleted work and any special attention required.

Make inspections of all areas of the building and grounds to ensure safety operation; supervision of works in progress and notify defects to be corrected.

Act as a fire chief during his duty. Be responsible for the hotel safety.

Supervise and inspect hotel department’s fire preventive works and take proper measures to stop any violation of the fire prevention works.

Supervise and train technicians and apprentices in the correct performance of their duties and development of skills and knowledge to prepare them for eligibility to high grades.

Responsible for recommending disciplinary action in respect of his subordinate.
