Overview:
Opening in the third Quarter of 2016, our nakedWater property on the shores of Taihu Lake in Suzhou will be a perfect mix offun, culture, water sport and luxury while adhering to the naked Group visionof operating our properties in the most environmentally sustainable way. We arenow seeking a dynamic General Manager who can deliver a unique experience forall our guests. We are committed to becoming a preferred employer for ourcolleagues.
To be selected, you will need to have experienceof high end resorts and also have worked in China. Specifically, you will beresponsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Core Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for all aspects of operations, from overarching hospitalityphilosophy to day-to-day staff management, and guest relations. The job’sresponsibilities can be divided into two timeframes: pre-opening and launch andpost-opening.
During “pre-opening and launch”, the GM will work very closely with naked BaseCamp to establish operations and ensure that our vision and brand standards aremet. Responsibilities during this phase include but not limited to below:
l Developnaked DNA to work specifically with the new resort.
l Take a partin the design of the resort’s tours and activities and food and beverageofferings.
l Supervise inthe procurement of operating supplies and equipment, and contract withthird-party vendors for essential services.
l Involve inhiring a staff of individuals across all of the resort’s departments.
l Involve intraining staff to perform according to our naked brand standards.
Launch the hotel, including both soft and hard openings, and developstrategies to maximum revenue. After launch, the General Manager will beinvolved in stabilizing the resort and ensuring that operations run efficientlyand maximize both customer satisfaction and resort profits. Post-openingresponsibilities include but not limited to below:
l Lead theresort as its “brand standard bearer”, epitomize the brand personality and workconsistently to ensure the resort is run impeccably.
l Oversee andmanage all departments, work closely with department heads on a daily basis.
l Monitorcustomer satisfaction, through review of naked scorecard feedback, and just asimportantly by spending time directly with the guests and ensuring their needsare being met and expectations exceeded.
l Maximizeroom yield and resort revenue through innovative practices and yield managementprograms.
l Report tonaked Base Camp on a regular basis.
l Establishannual and quarterly budgets and revenue projections, with regular updating.
l Ensure costsare controlled and revenue opportunities are effectively sourced and delivered.
l Address anyproblems or complaints with a speedy and satisfactory resolution.
l Counsel andadvise employees to ensure successful career progression within naked.
Core Competencies & Technicalknowledge/ Skills:
l The idealcandidate will most likely already be a General Manager or Resident/HotelManager.
l Candidatewill have a well-rounded hotel operating experience and will be able to driveyield, excellence in service standards, and profitability.
l Candidateswith previous resort pre-opening experience in China is preferred.
l A peopleperson, outgoing with great communication skills and able to relate to guestsand staff alike.
l Able totrain, guide and mentor a large team.
l Previousexperience operating resort properties with marina facilities will be anadvantage.
l Ability todevelop innovative on property strategies focused on revenue generation inconjunction with the naked Group Sales & Marketing Department.
l Superbfinancial and commercial acumen is a must as setting the annual budget and thendelivering on the targets of the property is a major responsibility.
l Strongoperational background with hands-on attitude to daily operations and exceedingguest’s expectations as a key focus.
l A deepunderstanding of promotions and marketing as well as managing and leading thesales initiatives.
l Ability tomanage the hotel’s finances through the planning and controlling of revenuestreams, cash flow and property expenses.
l Highlydeveloped interpersonal skills and as an ideal candidate, you will be equallyadept at dealing with hotel owners, peers, and employees at all levels.
l Toeffectively manage the owner relationship on behalf of the company.
l To ensurethat the operational and service skills of the employees of the hotel are beingconstantly improved through well planned Training systems.
l As theGeneral Manager of this pre-opening property, you will drive the recruitmentand development of the entire staff.
Education/Certifications:
• Degree in Hotel Management or equivalent
