Playing a Leading Role among National Catering Brands
Puyang Baigang LAOZIHAO Yangrouguan ( Puyang Baigang Traditional Lamb Restaurant),which has a history of more than 100years,started in Bagang town of Kaizhou prefecture(today’s Baigang town in Puyang, Henan Province) during the reigns of Emperor Guangxu(1874---1908) of the Qing Dynasty. So far it has been passed on to the forth generation and been a member of Henan Catering Trade Association.
In 1988, the third heir Zhang Kexian took the market opportunity to set up the first LAOZIHAO Yangrouguan (Traditional Lamb Restaurant) in Puyang city. Cherishing the belief of sticking to his inherited culinary art and of advancing and enriching the catering culture of central China, he devoted himself to trial production with great attention to quality. And finally he succeed in making a kind of pancake called “Bagang Yangrou Zhuangmo”(a kind of pancake with lamb inside).With the outer part of the pancake crisp and thin and inner part tender and rich filled, “Baigang Yangrou Zhuangmo” was put into the list of Well-known Chinese Refreshments. Always adhering to the business concept of “regarding honesty as foundation, talent as root, and distinctive feature as the support for existence, culture as soul” and with the goal of making our customers satisfied, our restaurant formed an enterprise spirit of “Unity, Diligence, Duty, Innovation”. As a result we gained approval and praises from consumers of different fields of society.
In 1990, our restaurant was entitled as “No-injection, No-virus, can be trusted” Meat Providing Unit by Puyang Animal Quarantine Station, “Well-known Puyang Food” by Puyang Commercial and Trading Bureau and “Unit With Honesty” by Puyang Consumer Association. In 2001, it got the title of “Well-known Henan Food” in the first competition of “Three Well-knowns of Henan Province”. In 2003, the Chinese Culinary Association rated “Baigang Yangroutang”( lamb soup), “Baigang Diaolu Shaobing”(a kind of pancake baked in a specially-made iron stove), “Baigang Yangrou Zhuangmo”(a kind of pancake with lamb inside)as “well-known Chinese Refreshments” in the third National Competition. All these were due to the unrelenting research efforts by our president Zhang Kexian. In 2004, the newly developed “Baigang Jiangxiang Dagutou”(lamb bone cooked with soy sauce), “Baigang Wuxiang Yangtou”(spiced lamb head), “Baigang Wuxiang Yangrou”(spiced lamb), “Baigang Douhua Yangrou”(lamb cooked with bean products), “Baigang Fenwei Yangpai”(lamb ribs with distinctive taste), “Baigang Yangrou Xiangchang”(Lamb sausage)were given the title of honor as “Well-known Henan Refreshments”in the first Henan Food Festival.
Keeping in mind the aim of “providing green food and top service to customers ”, we are doing our best and attached great emphasis to nutriology. Moreover, we requested nutritionist to give us advice in accordance with our specific condition. And in this way we brought forth new products continuously, ensuring them to be well combined with nutriology. In 2003, we set up a “Lamb Upgrading Base”, where we installed a complete set of lamb slaughter and cool storage facilities. Through that we materialize our business strategy---“integration of producing, providing and selling”. Customers could enjoy our green lamb eventually.
In 2004,we have applied patent for our trademark and begun to run in the way of chain operation system. By putting our customer in the first place and having a “win-win” business concept we have already allowed three interested parties to operate under the name of “LAOZIHAO Yangrouguan” (Traditional Lamb Restaurant) and got a big success.
